Hopeful Energy in Our Churches

I opened this morning's Evansville Courier & Press and didn't expect an article about growing, diverse and innovative evangelization methods in our Southwest Indiana Christian churches. Fr. Dusty Burns' YouTube rhymes and St. John the Apostle's inner-city outreach were both mentioned as ways ancient traditions are keeping current. To me, it was a hopeful piece.

The article begins on a negative, yet factual note, "Church membership across America and across all the nominations is in decline," and ends on a positive note, commenting on Father Dusty's ministry as, "about as current as it gets."

It is worth the read.
