1. Words cannot express my gratitude for the immense work, generosity and hospitality that was extended by so many from our parish and from our neighboring parishes this weekend. I couldn't help but be so proud to call this my home and our parish community my larger family. Everything was so far beyond what I could have ever imagined for my First Mass of Thanksgiving, from decorations to the choir and musicians, and the reception and the little medals given out after Mass. And absolutely most of all, how many people came to pray and celebrate! Thank you!

As the reception ended on Sunday afternoon, I walked across the parking lot toward the church building with a friend of mine who is from out of town and who was recently ordained. He turned to me and said, "This was absolutely wonderful. This parish and your relationship with your parish should be the model for every parish community." Other visitors commented on how they felt this area to be so special, so loving and kind and faith-filled, and I simply told them that it really is a little piece of Heaven on earth.

Thank you for making my ordination weekend truly ineffable, too powerful to describe. I have never been more proud or grateful to be from Sts. Peter & Paul in Haubstadt, Indiana. God bless you all!
